Realizations from My Recent Vacation

I had a short vacation with my sister and cousin last week. We went to Boracay to relax and unwind. I'll tell more about it in my upcoming posts. For now, I want to share some of the things I realized during our vacation.

- I miss writing and reading. I have been so preoccupied with work and watching TV shows that I neglected my books, journals, and blogs.

- Living in the province is really nice. Simple and quiet. I know that I'm a city girl but I want to challenge myself by living there (not necessarily Aklan). I wonder how long I would last. But it was nice not to think about shopping and stuff when I was at the province. Very peaceful.

- I really need to take a break from work every now and then. Most of my waking hours are spent at work or thinking about it. I have to remind myself that work is not my life. It is just a part of my life.

- I spend so much time in front of my laptop. I really need to lessen my internet time. It's not healthy.

- I want to go on a trip with my whole family. It has been a long time since we did that. We need to have a family trip before my parents migrate to the US next year.

- I need to travel and see more places here in the Philippines so that I could share more information about my country with my students.

- There are times when I think that my life sucks. It doesn't. My life is a zillion times better than the billions of people in the world.

I know that I just came back, but I'm now looking forward to my next vacation.
